British Virgin Islands
David Thrasher has been drawing since he was a child growing up in Canada, with his father encouraging him to pursue what he liked to do. His father founded an all-encompassing high school art course in a town near where they lived. Not only a very talented artist, David is also a great singer and harmonica player who does gigs at different venues around the BVI when he's not busy painting.
David did his higher education at Sheridan College, Canada, where he majored in classical animation. His studies gave him the artistic direction for his favorite drawing of cartoons, which Dave perused for 28 years. David worked with the Walt Disney Company, DIC, Nelvana Jumbo Pictures and other studios around the world, hosting morning shows.

By David Thrasher
David left Canada in 1987 for the warmer and more laid back atmosphere of the Caribbean. Since then, he has made Tortola home, advancing his painting skills. David combines his love of Fauvism and the Impressionist Poster era in his paintings, to create a unique style of Caribbean imagery. When in the British Virgin Islands, be sure not to miss his lovely studio "Caribbean Landscapes," located in West End, Tortola.
